Carbon filter

So I have a single plant that I just took from the paper towel to a small pot for now until it gets bigger but is there a way I can get away with having a 3-4 layer 5gal buckets with a light but still have a carbon filter, like maybe having the carbon filter on the outside of the buckets with a fan at the top of the buckets for airflow. Would that be enough to keep the smell in the buckets?

The carbon filter needs to be on the exhaust not buckets. The plants have odor. Hopefully your buckets do not.

I only run a carbon filter in my flower room. Small plants don't put off that much smell.
