could someone tell me how to kill off little caterpillar worm like things for an outdoor plant thats heading

take the caterpillar off the plant immediately and kill it. Then by your self some produce safe pesticide and spray it in a circle around it and lightly on it. Important thing is that it must be safe for produce like tamato's and stuff. If you get the wrong stuff and its not safe for produce then it can kill ya.
