So Im back, Had some problems at old apartment
had to move.... etc. etc. Moved into a nice 2 story
with my wife and 2 kids, SOOOO MUCH BETTER!

Finally some freedom, Nice neighborhood nobody
seems to be that nosy, Walks their dogs, and waves
when you pass them in your car, Its kind of cool


I would like to start by posting what happened to
my last grow, Before internet was cut for move,
And was dealin with some privacy issues, So I
decided best to withdraw from internet among
other things....... This plant went through 3 transplants,
horrible temp changes from having to be abruptly
transported to my friends basement because of
the snitch/police issues, Got it out before anybody
ever showed up along with any and all evidence and
was outta there within 2 weeks, Anyway it was COLD
in his basement and the plant I think suffered alot
it was in 12/12 during this time and It just DIDNT
want to bud up AT ALL! Lots of hairs and all that, But
it just didnt want to bud, Then brought it to my new
house, Let it grow for another week... pulled the plug.

So I was excited to start a new grow... WEll I already had some peteres 20-20-20, And also some 10-30-20 for flower. I got some organic potting soil, and the ONLY perlite i seemed to find was miracle grow, and low and behold, It has nutes in it too. ***. Do they nute EVERYTHING!?!?!??????? By the time I found the "enriched with miracle grow **" in small letters
I had already mixed it all up and the seedlings
were popping up through the dirt. I let the last
plant get way to big before flower, so I know I
didnt have enough light for it for one thing, My objective
is for some 2-3ft plants. They are from some great smoke and are estimated 2 weeks old.

I water with some water I let sit in a container between waterings each 3 days just enough around the actual little plants, But ALREADY im seeing burning or something. I think its from the MG perlite which
I mixed in until it "seemed" right. So I might be
scrapping these and trying yet again I dont know yet.

And I planted 2 seeds per pot, Simply to try and
get the most out of what I germinated, Which means I was going to let them start growing and then take out the weaker plant of the pairs around 3 weeks, I dont guess the ones that stay will be hurt, Being closer to a side of the pot instead of in the middle Ah well here are some pics.....

So, Thats whats going on right now.

I am HEAVILY thinking about finding something
like a 400w HPS for veg and seperating my closet.
(we had an extra room upstairs that I turned into
the ULTIMATE chill spot for all occasions with
PC, fish tank, playstation, guitar rig, big screen,
couch, etc)... So basically this is like my big
kid room upstairs away from the trauma and
my 2 little childrens room is across the hall
up here, They are still in cribs so it works out.

I have thought about getting HPS for 12/12 duties
because the wasted time and money/effort on the last
grow, and the grow before that, Im sorta thinking a HPS
would help me out alot in the flowering department but
Ventelation/wiring/fans will have to be planned first.

I think my CFL set up should be good for vegging though because it did grow that plant I started this
thread out with, My home made setup grew that
thing pretty big but I think the coldness ruined it
when It was in my friends basement shortly
after I started the 12/12 cycle. Here are those
lights for pics sake.....

edit: Bulbs are CFL 1750 lumens each or so the box said....
I have 40 dollars in this set up, and lights are on 24/0 ::::

If you flush the hell out of the soil you should get rid of most. The 20-20-20 you have is no good, you need a 20-10-20 and then mix it at 1/4 strength. The 10-30-20 you have for flower will be ok and if they are 3 footers by then they should have no trouble taking that at full strength (once a week, not every watering).

Try finding one on craigslist or eBay. I see them go all the time for 100 bucks. It will pay for itself first harvest, instead of giving your money to the weed man. you need to get some daylight cfls in there to get the right spectrum, those warm cfls will not suffice for veg. and for what you have invested in those cfls wires and sockets you could have got a 2 foot 8 tube T5.

..And another thing, Ive been wanting to grab up some nirvana Feminized swiss cheese, Or Papaya. But I first want to at least get a decent bud from a plant, and have
my flower lighting to where I KNOW im going to
get some bud. Would make no sense to go $ those
and then ruin them So I feel like I need to stick
to the bag seed until certain things are sorted out
but god I am frothing at the mouth for some bomb

By the way the seeds I germinated were literally
I dont know how many months old. They had been
in a baggie tied up for a WHILE. I didnt think theyd pop.

And maybe one more thing, What about some Cha-Ching the last 2 weeks of flowering? Been reading
up some good words about that stuff.

like the sockets and fresh wire I had already. The
money was spent buying diff dirt, diff nutes, most of all the time and mental stress hoping it would turn out all right.... and last but not least

If you want to use Nirvana (they are a good learning breeder) I would go with their Aurora Indica or Afghani. Get a regular pack (less chance of hermies) find a good mother and then not have to worry about getting beans for awhike.

The Aurora Indica looked pretty decent.
The Chrystal looked like it was good too.
And the 3rd non fem I liked was ak-48

How long can seeds last? I dont think I would
have the room to pop 10 seeds, and veg them
out to flower in order to find the females...

Okay, Well I just bought a 400 watt HPS kit, And a 51000 lumen light, And a fan for the DIY cool tube Im going to make within the next couple of weeks.

I figure this will do great to get me into the world of growing
on a more serious level and getting some real bud!

Just have to get a mogul socket from hardware store, and the materials
to make the cool tube. I plan on seperating it putting it in the corner of
the closet in about a 4x4 area, And then the CFL setup I will use for now
as my 24/0 setup because it brought up some nice plants but just
never got any awesome flowering results.





And an update on the other little ones, Well really it seems like they are all dying, Not sure why that hasnt happened before like this, But I also have never used MG enriched perlite..... I think it was too much for the young plants. The soil I am using was an analysis of 10/5/10 I think. Organic.


Anyway im ready to get the HPS and set it all up, Build a nice simple little area, And probably fab a reflector out of aluminum plate I have, and Paint that white possibly, Or leave it the natural aluminum color, Semi-shiny.
