Cool beans. I was in lowes a couple of days ago and i saw that they had HPS and MH bulbs. And they where only $21.97. They had them from 70w to 600w. 70w was like $19 and some change. Would they still be good for are grows? I bougth a 400w system from htgsupply.com and that thing puts out ALOT of heat. Killed my first batch of plants. But im a newbie so my mistakes are my lessons.

Im sure that a 70w would work but me personally i would only go as low as a 150w. I would stay with your 400w and try to figure out a way to exhaust the hot hair away from your plants. I guarantee you will like the results. But thanx for the low down on lowes im thinking about buying some more lights for side lighting, Ill have to check it out.
