 I mixed a FF TB nute solution and had to add 120 drops to bring the PH up to 6.4. Is this safe to use on my FFOF soil mix?

Hi,

Most of the organic growers say not to use the standard ph up and down solutions as they can do some harm to the good bacteria and organisms in your substrate... I'm not familiar with ph solutions for aquariums and maybe they're more gentle and organic friendly since they are made for environments with live fish? I remember that you tried bubbling but your solution with Tiger Bloom didn't budge. I haven't tried it yet but Earth Juice makes a "Natural PH Up" and a "Natural PH Down" that is compatable with organic grows. I tend to bubble my nutes up and on the rare occasions that I ever need to lower the ph I use a very small amount of apple cider vinegar.

Good Luck!

If you post this in the organic section someone might be able to help.
