Mirrors and Lighting

I do not have a set-up that involves mirrors...but I have seen some. My question is..do mirrors/or can mirrors increase your Lumens, LUX, Footcandles of light etc...

Any Information Would Be Greatly Appreciated.

Mirrors are YUK! The swallow light like a black hole in outer space.

Either use Mylar, or just paint the interior flat white.
