I am new to this site... just joined today. Hi to everyone who reads this.
I need help. Is there anyone out there??? :) My pH is over the roof!!!
I am on my second crop and starting clones. The last crop's clones sprouted roots in two to seven days and were very healthy.
This time it is taking two weeks! Some died and I planted thirty into four inch pots... Had to re-clone and re-clone because they keep getting smushy.
I re-started new clones with some fresh water but some are rotting again.
I only have three sprouting out of 120 clones after a week!!! That's not good.
So finally I decided to check the pH of the water last night... over 8.5!!! Way too high.
So I put two ounces of Super Thrive in to help lower the pH, but it barely changed. I have a twenty gallon cloner.
Now I'm totally afraid to go out to my veg room... I need to change the water, but I can't figure out how the pH got so high and I don't want it to happen again... My water from the tap is about 6.5 and it is fine... The only other ingredient in the water was Super Thrive, with a pH of 4.
HELP... I don't want this to happen again.
What can I clean the cloner with??? Maybe it was the dish-soap not rinsed enough??? Thanks.
