Hello all!
This is my first post here so if it's in the wrong place Mods feel free to move to correct spot.
I have a little test for you guys and gals that 'dabble in the dirt'...
I have a crop growing right now that is doing very well.
Genetics: Indica.
Room: 2'x3'x6'tall 11 ga. metal tool cabinet painted flat white inside.
Air movement: 6'' hole in bottom of back wall of cab w/8" fan blowing in.
4" hole in ceiling w/80mm thermistor controlled fan blowing out.
Soil: Miracle Grow moisture control potting soil w/cocoanut fibre w/nutes
at N-.21 P-.07 and K-.14 slow release over time.
Light cycle: 24 hrs on.
Water: wet to dry cycle.
Containers: 6oz clear plastic disposable cups.
Planted 17 hand-select seeds from a friend. 13 sprouted.
Plants sprouted in three days. Are now just 15 days old above ground.
All plants have four sets of leaves with the fifth set sprouting.
First true leaves, single blades.
Second set. triple blades.
Third and fourth sets, five fingered leaves with one having a six-bladed leaf.
Plants are vigorous and stocky. All 13 plants are within the range of 2 1/2 to 3" tall.
Internode length approx. 1/8" to 3/16" apart.
This is by far the most robust grow at this stage I have had in some thirty years of growing.
So, my question to you all is:
What type of lighting system/orientation/wattage/total lumens would it take for this kind of plant response in your experience?
I will provide details of setup, total lumens psf and wattage later after the test!
Be a sport, take a guess!
