Join The Army, Visit exotic places, meet strange people, then kill them.

Evening news is where they begin with 'Good evening', and then proceed to tell you why it isn't.

An consultant is someone who takes a subject you understand and makes it sound confusing.

When you're right, no one remembers. When you're wrong, no one forgets.

Everybody wants to go to heaven, but nobody wants to die.

Never argue with an idiot. They drag you down to their level.

Children seldom misquote you. In fact, they usually repeat
word for word what you shouldn't have said.

The word "listen" contains the same letters as the word "silent".

A 'jiffy' is an actual unit of time for 1/100th of a second.

The names of the continents all end with the same letter with which they start.

here's a question for you

You know the speed of light, so what's the speed of dark?

I've got one answer... Speed of dark is the same as the speed of light... We would measure the speed of the light leaving.;)

Darkness does not move, it is always present, and light is layed on top of it. (As an analogy, consider a table as being darkness, a tablecloth as being light: when you pull the tablecloth off, the table itself (darkness) doesn't move).

I think i read somewhere that the second highest cause of death among US teens was "legal intervention".

be aware of what your children are doing. Mistakes happen......and frequently result in death.

GOing back to light and darkness...
Maybe some one with a more in depth knowledge can correct me but i think darkness or black is of a material that does not let light rebound... for example a black hole... is not a "black hole"... rather is matter of great gravitational pull, that pulls light so intense that it seems as if it sucked it out... wait a minute... we were takling about light and darkness and i veered off to a dark hole :holysheep: .. sorry guys... i must be really high...:D :D

You know why murder is so common round here? Right to bear arms. It's too easy to get ahold of a gun. I remember when I was 13 a guy asked me if I wanted to buy a gun for $50. :holysheep:

Why is a hamburger called a hamburger? There is no ham in it at all....

The answer is really quite simple: because Hamburg, Germany made the first hamburgers.

However, the history of the hamburger is actually more complicated. Who actually invented the first hamburger remains a mystery.

Some say it was a group of nomadic people called the Tartars who tenderized their beef by placing it under a horse's saddle--flattening it into a patty. Others believe it was the German immigrants who traveled to the United States during the 19th century bringing with them their favorite meal called Hamburg Style Beef-- a raw chopped, piece of beef. Some argue Americans placed the first cooked beef patty on a roll at the St. Louis World's Fair in 1921.

Although beef is the most popular meat used in hamburgers, other meats such as pork and turkey have been used.

Ever since Bob's Big Boy introduced the first double patty burger, new varieties of burgers have been created. Today people enjoy veggie burgers, turkey burgers, and quarter-pound burgers with many different toppings including lettuce, mushrooms, cheese, onions, tomatoes, ketchup, mustard, and pickles.

Hamburgers remain one of the most favorite foods among Americans today.
