How much space do I need to veg 6-8 plants that I want to grow to 20"? I will be using T5's but I dont know how many to get cause dont know size I should grow in. TY

what do you have? closet tent? or are we building a box? i like 2 sq feet for each plant...i run 6 plants in a 3x5x7..and if ya have t5 how many? and whats the lume output?

I planning on using a closet. I havent bought them T5's cause dont know how many to get. But if I got a spot 3x5 thats 45,000 lumens so Ill have to get a ton of em. 4u2smoke bro what light do you use? Would I be better off money wise and wattage wise getting a MH?

hello again my friend...well this helps a lot....If ya aint baught yet look into to 600 switchable ballast cool tube...I Run a veriaty of lights and have diffrent rooms..But if i was a to start new and in a closet where i was going to veg and flower then a switchable MH/HPS would be Spot on:aok:Let me know what ya decide to run with and we will grow some DANK:lama: take care and be safe:ciao:

I use a 4' 4 tube T5 (20000 lumens) in a closet space that is 2 x 4 x 4 for vegging and have excellent results although it is slightly less than ideal vegging lumens. Since I run a perpetual harvest, I have plants of different sizes in there at all times. Ideally, I have 8 plants in there in different stages of growth--2 will be newly rooted clones, 2 will be 2 weeks older, 2 will be 2 weeks older, 2 will be 2 weeks older. I like to be able to rotate 2 plants into the flowering room every 2 weeks.

Wut up smoke didnt mention Im only veggin in a closet which is about 3x5 and flowering in basement. Ill do what Hemp Godess does if it works for you then thatll be good. If not might throw some cfl's in there. Thanks everybody.
