My pops gave me the seeds. Last year, and for the last decade or so, they produced great greens, and seeds. I have no idea what happened to these beans. o-well

Wow. That's definitely weird. I would say just try some more and hope for better results. Were the seeds all mature and look normal? Good luck and keep us posted. Take care.

They might have been pre-mature (where they light green?)

Look for those fat black seeds because there ready to crack...better luck next time

Hey thanks guys. Some were slightly green, but still, one shoulda cracked, atleast. Well i just spoke with my father, and he says it was because those trainwreck seeds were left out, exposed to light, heat, and humidity, all year. oops. They shoulda been in the fridge with the rest i suppose! thanks again.

You hit the nail on the head. Seeds need to be stored in the "Crisper" drawer of the fridge. Stored this way I've sucessfully popped 25+ year old beans!!!!!
