Are you talking fisrt couple of days? If you are using fluoros and have a deficiency of light or the light is too far away, the plants will reach for the light...

I think i have decide to spend the extra $40 amd go with 1000w Hps. has anybody on here built the ballast before, im sure it is fairly straighforward..

So I am going to need about 3 1000w Hps lights to get a good yeild from the plants?

I was hoping. i calculated it out, and if i wanted 2500 lumens psf i would have to put out 300,000 lumens... A 600w hps only offers about 90000.. Im not quite sure how it all works anyways.

I am planning a new grow room. It is going to be in my bbasement, I am building a room that is 2.75' wide, 7' tall, and 6.3' long. I want to buy a HPS ballast and such, but I need to know what size I will need for the room. Will 600watt HPS be sufficient?

So do you guys think if i switched the soil now it would be worth it? I am going to get better soil tonight and things for ph. Should i just start over?

So how do I go about lowering the ph of the water? If I leave the fan on temps go to about 65-75 degrees and the humidity drops... so im not sure about that. I think i will try to drop the ph first.
