How long does the stretch period last? its so funny, to see them do that

Are you talking fisrt couple of days? If you are using fluoros and have a deficiency of light or the light is too far away, the plants will reach for the light...

the light has been 12/12 for 2 weeks, and they just started to stretch alot

Different strains will stretch different amounts for different periods of time at the onset of flowering. If you need to prevent it you can LST your tops by tying them down. This will slow vertical growth and cause the plant's other shoots to grow more out more, creating a more bushy plant.

well, got the room for the stretch, but not the width part, I was just curious because it seemed over the last 2 days it grew almost 10 inchs

gotcha, well if the stretch starts to become too much and your lower branches aren't getting enough light you could mount the lights above one another. Put your flouro about half way up the length of the plants (would be ideal to have one on either side), and then your HID on top.

just put them thru a good workout (lst), which I havent done since switchin the light, it was so awesome to see the little feather sites that were hidden below the canopy, cant wait to check 'em in the morning
