I have a feeling Miracle Gro perlite might not fall into the organic category once its been "enriched" with miracle gro plant food, was my worry. I am on the trail of some chunky non enriched as we speak though so hey, live and learn i guess. I appreciate all the help!

I have started under flour and went to mh (400w) but i waited for the third set of actual leaves before the move. I am very interested in this as well because id like to start under my mh and maybe just raise it up at first slowly lowering it, then come flower time hit it with more light

I agree, the orange glow screams high pressure sodium. Maybe a newer bulb or some compact florescent alongside that light might make your babies happier. I also agree with the above post that your going to want a 400w to flower them out to full potential.
