Ballast Problems in old houses?

Hey people Im just about to buy a 400 hps system and Im wondering if anyone has had any problems using a ballast in older houses with aluminum wiring? My house isnt a relic it was built in the mid 80s but like I said the wiring is aluminum and thats what Im worried about.

Also, anyone ever had in melting/fire trouble with ballasts?
