Huge cannabis bust to hit market: police

A large cannabis plantation with a street value of over $5 million was discovered in northern NSW yesterday, say police.
An aerial police search above Burringbar in the Tweed/Byron area spotted the collection of 2634 cannabis plants ranging in height from one to four metres.
They arrested a 62-year-old Burringbar man who was later charged with the cultivation of a large commercial quantity of cannabis and refused bail.
The head of the police drug strike force, Detective Acting Inspector Frank Natoli, said the bust would "impact on the cannabis supply market".


At 62 I doubt he will see freedom again in his lifetime

Nah, not here in Australia. He'll get 5-7 years, and be out in 3 for good behaviour. Silly old coot. Steath is best, they bust the rest.
