breeding project part2

Hey guys this will be my the 2nd part of my breeding prod . the first was the ata tundra and ewd#2 project. what i got from the first project was pure ata tunda f2's and ata tunda x ewd#2 f1s grew out a few and all is good. now time to put the seeds up and start the 2nd of part of this project .

ok so some things have changed.

1. i now will be using a 2.7x2.7x5.25 grow tent instead of growing under my 4 foot tall work bench.

now i must tell you that i had to ship back the ballast because it went out on me a week after. but they sent me a new one and everything has been good with the ballast so far. i will be adding a 250 watt mh to the cooltube as soon as i get the money

i will be using 32 0z cups until they show sex then 4 of the best will grown in 2 gal grow bags and the rest will stay in the cups
i will keep the best out of the bunch and make a seed run with whats left after the purge pics are coming

ok guys so i got everything going and running just the way i like.

Ok so the grow was started about 2 weeks ago. I think i have 25 plants going right now some are a week old while others are 2 weeks or more. I have decide to ty my hand with hydro again and use a soilless mix growing 7 plants in 2 gallon bags with drippier s using a gravity feed system . got the drippier system kit from lowes.

This complete kit comes with 30-ft of vinyl and everything needed to attach to an outdoor faucet and drip water into 8 potted plants or only spray water for 3 plants cost 22$. i got a 5 gal blue lowes bucket and lid cost 5$ and black spray paint 2$ i also pick up a 8-in x 2ft Galvanized Duct and made a batwing reflector for my cooltube. i think that the 8 inch sides are to small. so i might try a 10 or 12in duct. yes that an el-cheapo move but those who know me know i would rather try and make my own then buy a new one :hubba: .

ok so the setup of the drip system was going good until i i got the the last dipper and had no plug for the end. they don't give you any. so i had use one of the tees and make a closed system instead of just plugging the end. had some run of but it under control. its been up and running for two days so far so good. ph is running at 5.9 its not pure hydro so i dont want to go down to 5.5 but after reading in the hyrdo section i might bring up 6.5 around 6 weeks of flower

so now for the plant count
1.Northen lights x1 reg dont know who the breeder is it came as a freebie and alibongo could not tell me the name of the breeder at the breeders request.

2. malawi gold reg(seed of Africa) x 4
3. narkush reg(seedsmans) x7
4. ewd#2 reg(sin inc) x 9
5.tundra's delight f1 reg(sin inc) x5 (ata tundra x ewd#2)
so i think thats like 25 gallon of soilless mix i am using all together and 26 plants

grow tent is 2.5 by 2.5 by 5.3= 6.3 sq feet i used the cannavertisy calculator to come up with the following
Maximum Lighting 60 watts Per Square Foot

Lighting
The maximum reccomended lighting for your area is 378 watts
Ventilation
Going this way you will require a fan with a flow rating of at least 35.9 Cubic Feet per Minute
Power Requirements
Getting to these points and or over it is highly reccomended the grower use Co2 in their room as your plants will only be able to photosythesise a certain amount of light before needing a Co2 boost to benifit

lights
400 watt mh/hps cooltube with removable batwing no mounting hardware used. right now its set to 50% power. i am using 2 12volt 6in 3 amp fans one on each end of the cool tube running 175 cfm each. i am only using one right now. and one 12volt 6in 1.0 amp 95 cfm fan for intake
all fans powered by a computer psu
TEMPS are running at 70-77 right now and 32 percent humidity
FERTS
1. foxfarms three pack
2. foxfarms boomrang
3.blackstrap molasses
4.geenlight superbloom.

so first week i gave a feeding of just boomerang and water ph 7.0 one capful per gallon
then watered with just water ph 6.5
second week give a feeding using 5 gallon bucket
growbig 2 capfuls per gallon
big bloom 2 capfuls per gallon
tigerbloom 2 capfuls per gallon
boomrang one capful
h202 2mil per gallon.
veg time will be around 6 weeks
tec used will be topping and supercropping

i'm literally seeing this for the first time. i've had beef with MP's "new posts" page since i joined here, i constantly loose new threads b/c there is a time limit on how long a new thread or post will show in the "new posts" page. even if you don't read it.

i haven't even read the whole thing yet b/c i feel like it's going to take me about an hour. so i'll leave a comment on the grow itself after i actually see it lol.

yes me too i am so happy to get the gold going but it says 16 weeks wow thats a long time. i am really hoping to get some gold males and i hope that that nl is a male to.i plan to use the two best malawi males and the nl if its a male and cross them with everything else in the tent.

so that would be
narkush female to malawi malex2/nl male
malawi female to malawi malex2/nl male
ewd#2 female to malawi malex2/nl male
tundra's delight to maiawi malex2/nl male
or if i get a female with the nl then it should be nl female to malawi male.
the thing is should i not use my ewd#2 since i have the tundra's delight (ata tundra x ewd#2. i mean these would be f1 cross's and tundras delight are also from f1 seeds. my ewd#2 are f5 and very stable well at lease to my likes.

i have a question if i wanted to bring my ewd#2 back to f1. could i cross my f5 seeds back with my f1s i dont have a mom alive so crossing my f5 back to the og mom is a no go . i mean that cross would not be an f6 since thier not breed with in thier own group=(f)

ok so i am having a lil trouble. my tents water proof liner is not so water proof .So i had to line the bottom with taped up clear trash bags so far so good. now i am having a lil trouble with run off using these drippers their ajustable from 0-14 gph i have them set to one. its not a lot off run off mybe a washcloth full. thats what i use to get the water up. the plants are doing good. i had to add some emp salt because the plants was starting to yellow from the from the inside out. so mixed 2tsp of esmp to gallon of water added it to the res.that was yesterday the drippers drip uneven so i might find a small pump and use a timmer to 30 on 30 off

sounds like your stuck in my situiation now lol, i dont use drippers but i fight the ever constant battle of buying saucers and lining my floor with plastic, i think the only truely good solution and slightly expensive is to get ebb-n-flow trays that fit your grow space, maybe a few if your space is larger and you need to kind of "tetris" the trays in place to fill your space. i keep finding that the saucers get in my way more then they help, sure they catch the water but they make it hard to snug plants close together when i want them close. the HTG down the street from me has the trays and i believe the 4ft x 4ft is like 99 bucks or something, personaly id love to find a square kiddie pool that way it doesnt cost a crap ton lol... hope this helps man, it seems to be the best solution for the problem.

my mgolds are really starting of crappy do to me trying to learn gravity drip on the first go. my one nl is the biggest had a lil mag def going but i think i got it under control. my ewd#2 is doing the best so far and the narkush are coming in just fine. the 32oz cups are coming along just fine also. my lights are working just fine have the 400 on 50% for right now . temps are running from 70-85 depends if i have the input fan on because its connected to pull air from the out outside when i turn it on the temps drop to around 67-72 of it stays at 80-85. i am still waiting for the some of the 32oz the get some more leaves before i turn the light all the way up.

hey guy update and pic coming up soon as i take some pics i am having probs adjusting to this drip system . and i think i should have hand watered until they got bigger. only three plants out of the seven are doing good at this moment. 1 mgold,nl and ewd#2 the rest are havin probs adjusting to the drippers. i think iam going to order the tropf blumats kit off ebay . plus i did not water the pots before i started the drip

ok guys i need some help with this hydro stuff i am using a soilless mix of peat and perlite 70/30% gravity drip system. now do i keep nutes in my rez at all times are do i do nutes until the water run out and then do just water then nutes. i am alil lost right now and i could use some help. as u can see on the pics i think i burned them some. are it could be mag def. so some of the weak and small plants have been yanked out. i had some trouble and broke off the main stem on the biggest mgold its the one with the white cord behide it . aslo the small mgols that was in the 2 gallon pot and replaced it with one that was doing better pic 7 still tying to recover from transplant.
