A CANNABIS grower has been jailed after 14 plants were found in his kitchen.
Aaron Frost had been arrested on a separate matter when police searched the house in East Street, Southend, and found the drug growing in a set of plant pots.
He appeared at Southend Magistrates Court where he pleaded guilty to producing a class B drug and was sentenced to two months in prison because he had already been carrying out a community sentence for a similar offence.
However, Lee Wilcockson, mitigating, said it was far from being a professional cannabis factory.
Frost, 22, gave his address to the court as Cotswold Road, Westcliff, but at the time he told police he was living at the house with friend Mitchell Deacon, 23.
Deacon was there when police carried out the search on May 3, and was arrested for the same offence. He pleaded guilty and was given a year-long community order and must carry out 100 hours unpaid work.
