Also, the reason you want to do grab the clones before you flower is because the hormones of the plant change. The cutting would have to reverse the hormones back into a vegetative state before it will sprout roots. In layman terms, clones from a plant in flower take longer to root.

That link still favors birth control pills in your waterings. Grape soda with water will make your pot purple and sweet too ! NOT !
Also, i have found cuttings taken during early flower root faster than when taken in veg. The plant is using more "P" which is good for starting root growth. Their is no real "reveg" either.

Good advice on the natural use of Phosphorous in the seedling and early flowering stages. Nice way of taking full advantage of plant cycle to benefit technique.
