Dual spectrum solarmax 1000w HID

I need to replace my Hortilux eye 1000w hps. I do not have a separate lamp for veg, my last grow i just used the hps for veg and flower. I was wondering how these dual spectrum bulbs are, and if anyone has used them? They combine both enhanced M.H. and Super H.P.S. to achieve strong peaks for both vegetative growth and flowering.

Should I use one of these, or, get a separate setup for veg?

HI,

I have a SolarMax Dual Arc 1K that I usually use from the last week of my veg cycle and for the first few weeks of 12/12... I then swap out my Hortilux HPS for the rest of flowering as the plant requires more red in the spectrum... The Dual Arc has a very balanced light spectrum and is perfect for the transition and I'm sure it would work well for all vegging as well.
