I've had a gnat problem since the git-go. 3 weeks ago the guy at the hydro place sold me some nematodes (in a liquid solution). I've added the required amount with the nutes at every water but the sticky strips (more like the size of a BOOK!) get fuller and fuller.

Can anyone recommend a truly effective gnat killer solution? I was going to try Go Nats, but the hydro guy said the worms would be more effective (NOT!)... I'm growing organic, but I'll forego that to kill the little buggers.

:hairpull:

I use those sticky fly strips to keep the gnats under control ... 4 for a $1 ... the perlite works too ... :ciao:

IMHO.. "nothing" is superior to "Diatomaceous Earth" for gnat erradication..
type "fungus gnats" into the search feature here.. ;)

Just be sure to wear a dust mask when you use this ok? The little fossils it's made of are VERY sharp and very small so they can be easily inhaled...NOT GOOD. Good stuff but use wisely.
Grow on and be safe.

1. Let soil dry. When you think its time to water.. Do it 2 days later.

2. After you water, till the top later of soil. It helps it dry faster.
You'll notice the top of the soil drying, a day later. Then till again.
It helps dry and gives you closer inspection for pest in the soil.

working for me..

Lots of great methods described above. Any one of them will work. Keep us posted. Take care and be safe.
