A water trap using 45=50 gallon plastic trash can. Look up bucket traps at the tube. Use the flap type drop trap. To get them up to the top, use 3 or 4 in. pvc pipe with a wood ramp inside the pipe. They feel safe inside the pipe and will clime up it. The wood makes it easy.

Rats can swim for a long time. Their oily fur traps air next to the skin. The way to drown them is use allot of dish soap in the water. There needs to be at least 10" of water in the can. It keeps them from resting on the bottom.

Good hunting
I have a 55 blue plastic drum, I just may build one, can I USE MORE THEN ONE RAMP OR WOULD THAT BE A WASTE THKS
BEST BAIT ?

I was actually searching YouTube for something else, but this popped up because I had searched for the Jerry Clower video.
Never heard of this, but it would be worth a try.

Always been told that if a rat eats dog food then the poison doesn't work. Go look on YouTube at the plexiglass traps, once in they can't get out. It may give you some idea's. I know someone that used a 55 gallon drum with removeable top, set up a trap door and hung a bag of bait over the door. After he caught a few he would drown em in diesel.

Anyone offer some tried and true methods for killing these bastards
They eat the poison and come back for more, I have tried traps and baits nothing seems to help.
Is there a repellent (natural) that will cause them to go back to my neighbors?
Sounds like an excellent excuse for purchasing a suppressed .22 and a bunch of subsonic rounds. Add night vision and you set....at a price! But what fun it would be.

look on youtube and watch the spackle bucket with a stick that makes them fall

I use Tom Cat bait stations, peanut butter baits. Works for me and I have rats bad. I fight them 12 months out of the year. This one fell for a Rat Trap with cheese. We grow em big around here. They eat my maters.....This one won't eat anymore.

That's not that big. I've seen them as big as a fat opossum! Rats can get really big and they can chew through anything. Brick, walls whatever. They can also carry rabies, fleas, etc.

Good luck on trying to find a suppressor nowadays. I ordered a suppressor for my 9 mm carbine and it’s been almost 10 months and I haven’t heard a word from our lustrous government. They’re doing everything in their power not to ship these things to citizens.

I was in a shop the other day and saw a Ruger 1022 with integral silencer/barrel. Very cool. Unlike most suppressors, .22 versions can be very quiet. With subsonic ammo, you can hear the striker hit.
