The Suwannee County and Columbia County drug task forces have busted an indoor pot farm near Branford.

Timothy Lee Cline, 53, of 4902 200th St., Lake City, was arrested at his home Jan. 9, according to reports. Cline was charged with cultivation of cannabis, pirating of electricity and trafficking in cannabis.

His wife, Ronell Cline, 43, of the same address, was arrested Jan. 11 on the same charges.

Suwannee County Sheriff Tony Cameron said the Clines had a pot farm inside their mobile home. The complex operation included indoor timers that mixed carbon dioxide and water to force feed the plants, said Cameron. The room had its own central heat and air conditioning so the grow lights would not harm the plants. It also contained a dehumidifier to keep moisture out. Even the bathroom was fitted with a filtering system, said Cameron.

The value of the pot was estimated at $30,000.

Cameron said that homes generally use significantly more electricity than normal when marijuana is being grown within them. He said the Clines stole electricity by tapping into the line coming into the house, bypassing the meter. Cameron said the Clines were stealing hundreds of dollars worth of power a month.

"I want to give credit to the drug task force of Suwannee and Columbia counties for the hard work they have put in this year for stopping indoor marijuana grows within the county," Cameron said. "Twelve indoor pot grows were put out of business within the last calendar year."

Both Clines were transported to the Suwannee County Jail where both were later released on a $5,000 bond.

Although the Clines have a Lake City address, they reside in Suwannee County near Branford.

What is up with all these people stealing electricity? I'll bet that's what is getting them busted. Either that, or someone ratted them out.
Sounds like a small time operation to me, just a small grow room in a mobile home. $30k in weed by police standards could just somebody's head garden. Maybe they sold a little on the side, but it doesn't sound like some big commerical grow house bust.
Don't steal electricity! If you're already doing something illegal, don't do more illegal stuff to attract attention to yourself. Damn.
