After giving this stuff a try I had to get a few clones, trouble is neither the owner of the club or the net seem to have much info on what it likes or how long it takes to flower. Google just brought up trip reports and bud porn.

Anyone grow these girls before?

While I'm sure this is very clever most of the time, and was suggested to be funny, as I said in the post, I googled it already, which sort of negates the humor of lmgtfy.com. Nice try I guess?

Afgoo+seeds+clones+flowering+cycle brings up most of the same results as my earlier searches. I went over all 18 results your search suggestion brings up. None actually tell flowering time, even roughly. Time well spent.

So, to people who like to respond to seemingly easy to answer questions with lmgtfy, RTFM, UTFSE, if you're going to call someone on not bothering to look for themselves before asking a question...make sure they actually didn't. Otherwise you just kinda seem like an...

That said, anyone have any real experience with this strain?:D

Season before last a friend grew Afgoo, outdoor. Very wide leaves, almost diamond shaped when a young clone. They grew up to be very bushy, and short (no more than 5 feet). (This friend grows some huge sativa, so this afgoo got a good full season outside) He puts in his clones in early May and harvests late September (for indicas) to late November (Sativas). I tasted some of his Afgoo and so did the husband, very very indica. There is a despencery I go to that sells clones (for indoor) of Afgoo sometimes.

I would say......Afgoo is very indica dominant. So a shorter grow season, 8 weeks sounds like the ticket.

Just dug out the brochure from the Despencery. It says:

Afghooey Hybrid of:
Maui Haze (around 95% sativa)
Afgan #1 (around 95% indica)

So I guess that makes it about 50 50. Again, hope that helps a little.

Dont know if any of that helps...
Good luck

Hello Primitive :)

Ive had quite a look around, it seems quite difficult to find much info on it, but I found this if it helps.

AFGOO

60 Days flower

Appeal: good, pretty frosty, not all good full trichs though 7/10
Aroma: tropical ghany, dankish 7/10
Taste: initially gingerbread moving to cinnamon sugar 8/10
Effect: nice hybrid-smooth body buzz and pleasant up high 8/10

I like dis clone. Had her for a bit and she always finds a way to stay around. Good daytime smoke and her yields are a plus as well. A bit prone to PM but what isn't??

:peace:

HIE, what does prone to "PM" mean?

Hello Tc :)

I honestly have no idea, it didnt explain any further from where I 'borrowed' the description, maybe a PM time of day smoke.

After all, its a heavy Indica and they are well known for making you feel lazy do nothing but sit down smoke.

:peace:

Thanks all:D

Now I can try to figure a feeding regimen.

Great to hear these grow typical indica short and bushy, these 16 are for my first ScROG attempt! I've been LSTing the clones, made the PVC/net trellis frame today, they should be ready to go under it in a week or so. I'm pretty excited so I'm going post a journal with pics once it's underway:cool:

p.s., I tried to find what PM means in relation to weed too, but a search just brought up stuff like "PM John Howard says cannabis causes mental illness" and whatnot...I did find once reference of weed being susceptible to "Penicillium mold".

I have grown out afgooie a couple of times, I harvest at day 58-65 depending on my conditions. They are very nutrient hungry, feed them and they will grow. It is one of my favorite smokes, but later harvested plants can be a bit on the sleepy side of a stone.

Peace...j.b.
