I've got a household electrical issue . . . Can anyone help?

Up and running yet? If not, better hang the wet things outside for a bit. ;)

Thanks Casual.

Appreciate your help buddy :)

Would it be a 'current tester' (Meaning the light-up screwdriver style probe with wire and gator clip, pardon my ignorance) that I would need to test the element and the drum motor?

Thanks again Casual.

The current test you are talking about I have only used with DC... I have neve seen it used with AC....

Best thing to use for AC testing is a testing unit, they are pretty inexpensive. You can get one with the needle (old Style) or a digital one... I actually like the needle style better heh... Read the instruction manual to learn the settings and you should be able to troubleshoot anything on that dryer.

Hey Mom.

Service guy is here now. Changed the fuses in the fuse box to no avail. Element and motor are good, so is the switch and timer. At this point I was baffled. Called a neighbor who is in business.

Turns out it is the in-line fuse within the unit. Small little button type thing.

We hung the wet stuff out early yesterday. Dried in a few hours. Doesn't stink :)

Thanks everybody for all you assistance!!!! :D

This guy is really good. He talked me through everything. Showed him what I did and my line of thought. He stated that they make these things extremely hard to find, so the homeowner doesn't dabble.

Next time, I think I'll be a little more useful.

Thanks Again All ! ! !
