Saw some LED lights on Ebay for plant growing. Anyone know anything
about LEDs? These were red and blue and covered an 18" x 18" area.
It claimed to use less electricity and produce less heat. It also claimed
to be all the lighting you would need from start to finish.

I think the key word here is claims...LED's hve come a long way but they still hve a ways to go...yes they use less electricity and yes they produce way less heat...but light penetration can be a problem and you hve to make sure you get the latest LED technology and not the older ones that don't work well at all..I wld be worried about buying led's on ebay especially if the price seems to good to be true...I think my biggest concern wld not be using LED's but getting outdated technology on ebay that might be getting passed off as the "latest and greatest"...but really be cheap and crappy...
