Dear Activists:
You CAN help the tens of thousands of Massachusetts patients who could find relief with medicinal cannabis alleviate their suffering legally and here is how...
MASS CANN/NORML is planning for Lobby Day Action on Monday, November 16, 2009 to meet legislators and appeal for their support of H2160 and S1739 which allow medicinal use of cannabis. Please join us.
We will meet at the entrance to the State House on Bowdoin Street, which is on the east side of the State House, at 10:00am. We are planning to stay at the Statehouse until 4:00. Business attire is required. Click here for directions to the State House.
From past experience we know it is possible to visit aids without appointments, hand them literature and give them your 5 or 6 talking points in about 15 to 20 minutes. This is what we will call a visit. While you will arrange your meeting(s) with your legislators, we will arrange your visits. We will coordinate our visits and meetings so we avoid stepping on each others toes and so those more experienced with State House lobbying can accompany those less familiar. To this end, we
will be scheduling who will be visiting at which legislative offices and when.
With walking time between offices we will plan that visits average about ½ hour. Working from 10:00am until 4:00pm with an hour break for lunch (5 hours) one could potentially visit up to 10 offices. Meetings take about an hour. If you have one meeting we will plan for 8 other visits for you and if you have 2 meetings we will plan for 6 other visits for you.
If you can participate in lobby day, please let me know what hours you can go by emailing Bill Downing at \n This e-mail address is being protected from spambots.
