new growth ??

On my mother plant (good bagseed)she has new growing shoots coming out of the stem of the fan leafs. good green growth.
it looks to me that its not a bad thing just more bud sites, but i haven't ever seen this before.

shes been veggin for about 6 --8 weeks
12 hour of direct sun then 12 hours of 400w hps about 10 inches away(cool tube)
her and 4 others in about 8sq. ft.
ffof soil in a 3 gal pot, ph is good , ro water, not much feeding (fish and kelp)twice.
looks great dark green and tight ,about 1/2 inch between nodes. And shes showin preflowers.

i'll try to get some pic up a little later(sorry)
anybody seen this before.

Hi Framingman:
Are you keeping this plant for a mother in perpetual veg to pull clones or are you planning to grow her out? Sounds fine to me. Probably just new growth.

I was goint to take a couple cuttings off her next week .
cut the bottom off the 3 gal. pot and set it on 5 gal. bucket, then veg for 2 weeks then flower.
Then put 1 of my other 4 in flower 2 weeks after and so on.(so she doesn't get lonely)

Is that a wast , 8 gal. of soil or will the 3 gal. be ok?

So this growth is common?

Sure man, side growth is common. It's a very good thing with a Host Plant.

It gives you more sites to clone from.

Top your host and keep her short. She'll sprout great side growth and have lots of branching for you to use.

Yes, in fact, it was just within a couple of weeks someone else posted the same thing.

i have it one like 10 leaves and they are growing fast.
