stessing before harvest time

hey guys ive heard from a number of people that just before you harvest ya plants its a good idea to stress them out so they go hard an pump out that last lil bit of thc.Ive heard ways of stressing such as sticking a nail through the stalk giving plants a good old tug n pull leaving them in darkness for a bit longer an even far out ones such as putting hot water onto the roots for 10 or so minutes.So yeah my question is does stressing ya plants a day or 2 before you pull them really make them produce a bit more sticky goodness an if yes what is a good way of doing it cheers all happy tokin an chokin

A day or two probably not. Soil grower can stop watering the last 2 weeks this cause the plant to think (yes they think) that it's dying so all production goes in to the flowers.

You can stress hydro as you said, but a day or two before harvest would be a waste of time and might not allow the plant time to recover before the ax, which could have a negative effect on the quality.
