transplant

I have a gorgeous plant that I want to take indoors this autumn. Will a small plant live if I transplant it from outside and bring it indoors? Can it be done successfully?

"IMHO" you would be much better off getting some cutting ASAP, before it gets further into bud.
Digging plants up to transplant is risky, at best. Once it has budded and fulfilled its mission in life, transplanting AND revegging would most likely be more than it would endure.
