What is this growing?

the plant has been in the cube and doing great but i do not know what this stuff is. anyone have an answer? is there a way to stop it

using b-52 and sensi grow part a & b

that is algae. and it's no good... You need to cover the rockwool with something, they sell special 'caps' for rockwool cubes, but you could make yer own if you were so inclined

i've had em on for 2 days and now i have a new problem. i can see the algae is dying but now there is puffy, spider web ball, looking white stuff that reminds me of mold. could it be? does it have it to do with the algae dying? will it hurt the plants?

(im gonna put up pics in a couple days. need a new camera charger.)

Do you have a high humidity problem? I don't grow in wool cubes so I don't know the answer, but algae and mold would seem like humidity issues..

this is the problem with rockwool, it retains so much moisture that it's pretty much impossible to keep free of mold, they sell stuff for this at the hydro shop, but ive never used it..

im goin by my hydro shop tomorrow so ill be sure to ask about it.

it is only on the top of the cube and in spots. i only saw it after i put on the cube covers to kill the algae. ill post pics tomorrow for a visual aid

take the plastic off the rockwool? it's probably keeping the cubes too hot

but in the picture they really don't look that wet
