What size should you plant be before turning to 12/12??

Just wondering how high should your plant be roughly before you have to turn it to 12/12??

depends on how big you want the plant to be when its done flowering. The more you veg the bigger plant will be when it flowers. Remember that the plant will almost tripple in size after you switch to 12/12.

Plants don't like to get high, the smoke reminds them of death

But they do need to be mature though, like NL said depends on how tall you want them at harvest. Although 3 times mays be stetching them a bit, we use the add 2-3' to final hieght after going 12-12

Sorry to but in, but are yall saying for instance that if you want a plant that is lets say 16" when done with flowering, should you switch to 12/12 lighting when the plant is about 6-8" tall. Or is this to short or tall?

from seed, plants should be grown to sexual maturity before flowering for optimal yeild and potency. They're ready to flower when they express alternate node growth and/or preflowers. Usually around the 4-6 week mark from germination. Depending on the strain, environmental conditionns. ect.. this could mean anywhere from 1'-3' tall.
"clones" can be flowered at any heighth, because they are usually taken from a sexually mature plant.
