Honestly Knight, 32, was jailed early today after asking a state police trooper if it was OK for her to light up a cigarette.

Knight was a front-seat passenger in a vehicle that Trooper Eric Perkins stopped at Willard and Madison streets for a traffic violation.

While Perkins was talking to the driver about the traffic stop, Knight obtained the officer’s approval to light a cigarette.

She was arrested after Perkins asked to see the cigarette, which contained marijuana, not tobacco. The preliminary charge was possession of paraphernalia.

I don't see what the problem is. The cop gave her permission to light it up, didn't he?

Stupid of the woman to put a cop's integrity to uphold the law on the line, yet another waste of tax payer money on the system but can you really blame the police officer? lol.
