Without a pic it's hard to say, but if the break isn't all the way through the stem (came off completely) you can generally repair it well enough for it to heal. One clever member uses the gum strip off rolling papers for bandages. It's a weed so it can take a break or bend, do a search here, there are a bunch of folks who've gone through the same accident. Grow on and be safe.
