Can anyone help me identify this bulb?

Recently while cleaning my father's garage i found a couple of these lights + balasts but i m not sure how they are called .. can anyone help me out?

It produces cool white light but runs kinda hot.. it is 160 watt.. Working fine till now..

it kinda looks like a halogin, but kinda in the shap of hps, but its not.... id go with halogin... what other lights u gonna use.. take a look at my grow.im usin CFL's

Mercury Vapor is what it looks like to me. Pretty rare nowadays but you can still find them in use in parking lots and city/state road lighting systems.

it should have a MV on it somewhere probably right after the wattage.

if it is a mercury lamp its not so good for growing plants.

I m using CFL's too but i found this one and thought that it would be a good idea to run it 2-4 hours per day during my veg circle 18/6 just for a change..

I ll try to figure out if the balast could work with a MH or HPS bulb since i m wasting electricity with this mercury bulb
