Clone question

How long to you keep the dome on while cloning. I was told just a few day, but I keep them on the entire time. I am trying to improve my cloning. I am also thinking of adding a heating pad to keep the roots and soil warm. Last question,what is the distance from the clones and the light. Thank you.

I try to change out the air every so often. I leave my dome on all the time until i see roots. I find its less maint. After i see roots i keep em a lil farther from the light with no dome until the get accustomed to the new medium and light. Then i start hittin hard with light. About 1-1/2 weeks for me till i see roots pop outa the jiffy pellets.

While the dome is on, whats a good distance from the light.

I got the top of the dome about a foot or so from (2) 40W t12 6500k bulbs 4' fixture.
