What size doses of Calcium nitrate and Epsom have you been giving, and how often?
Are you top dressing, or mixing with water?
Since flower I've gone with 1/4tsp bloom, 1/8-1/4tsp cal nit well dissolved separately then added to bloom. I dosed them 1/2tsp a few times in veg with Epsom but not since. I don't see anything so the jacks must be doing okay with it so far. I did a little extra 1/8 in the mix tonight. I'm bumping it up just a little each week. At JR Peters I find they suggest up to 8g. I just fed them at 2.5. I have come across some guys using up to 5 grams with no issues. I think I'll be a little more cautious and move up slowly. I just wanna bump them up till week 7 and then taper down unless I see troubles.

3/24/24

21days 12/12

These ladies have blown up the past week. Heading into week 4 the stretch is still going and they are attempting to overgrow the space. Like I mentioned in my last post I think 4 is the max in a 4x4. Well, Ive had to make some new arrangements Them SBR girls are getting big. I have more room on the 4x8 so I switched out the smaller ones in the large tent. Minor adjustment but looks like a good move.

Sugar Black Rose. I'm impressed with the growth of these two plants. Both are similar but not the same. One has more dense growth and the other is more open. I'm really looking forward to trying some of her bud.

Critical Kush. What can ya say about Barney? She looks just like most grow pics I've seen of her in other forums. Fat bushy budsites all over and very healthy.

Tangie. I'm hoping I get a sativa leaner with her. She's developing into a nice healthy girl. Not quite done with her stretch yet. I'm hoping to get a little more height on them stems.

And they all come tumbling down...... 😂

Looks a lil droopy. Nothing is holding her back.. except me..lol. Let's see what happens. I'm gonna hold them back for a little while and let that main grow out more. Maybe get in there tomorrow and get some of that undergrowth out.

This rearranging thing seems to be better than what I had before. Both of the SBR girls kinda took over in the 4x4 but now they have more room to do their thing. By doing this I'm getting a pretty good view of how many well vegged plants this 4x8 can hold and I think 6 is good. 8 if they are all indica size. After moving my boxes around last month I now have access to all the way around so I'm thinking a big scrog grow this fall.
Another observation is I'm seeing how well holding back the main stem worked verses removing the top. I believe I have just as many budsites producing with the un topped plants as I do with the Cornbread which is topped. Maybe by the end of this weeks stretch I'll have a semi even canopy to finish with.

This mystery auto is at 64days from sprout. I'm going to give her a little more time. She seems to be trying to put on a little more mass so I'll wait her out n see. I've got some cloudy in there but not enough for me yet.

I mentioned before about the calcium issue with is plant. I purposely withheld adding anything but Jack's bloom. The calcium issue showed up at about 7 weeks. I dosed it pretty good with the calcium nitrate and the issue seemed to halt in place and not continue spreading like grows I've had before. I think now I may have a grip on how to dose autos with the calcium nitrate.

I am at week 8 of 12/12 lighting tomorrow and using Jacks Bloom. I was supplementing with Cal Mag every couple of feedings just out of habit. Now I am curious if I would have seen deficiency had I not done that. My plants are going 10 weeks whether they like it or not due to scheduling(though I am told the Heri-Berry is a 60 day flower).

My last grow I really struggled. I believe I locked my autos out playing with liquid nutrients following a chart.

The calcium nitrate is new to me. So it was good to see it does work well with the Jack's. The slight N boost doesn't seem to mess with anything. I excited to try this all out on a bunch of autos this winter.

I have always been envious of the shiny, dark green leaves I saw on other people’s plants. I spent years growing using ‘organic’ nutes and had good results. I just like the borderline nitrogen toxicity look.😂 My plants are as green as I have ever had. I am sold on Jack’s. My non-cannabis houseplants love that stuff too. Gonna hit my outdoor ornamental plants too.

Yeah I found the stuff does walk that edge of high N. I thought maybe I'd see that fade a bit flipping into the bloom nutes but not a one of them has faded. My Durban poison and the Cornbread are really dark leaf plants. I'm shade blind. The wife says they almost fade into a blue green.

I wasn't sure what I'd get during the stretch with jacks and adding the cal nit. Thought maybe it would make them get leggy but I'm pretty pleased with how they are going. Mine should halt late next week and start building bud.

I'm all in with..The Gospel of Jacks

I was spotty on the Cal Mag but as far as stretch goes, the Heri-Berry plants stretched very little. One pheno is really squat. The Dawg-Devi stretched a lot(supercropped some branches and are still a good foot taller than the H-B). A couple of my plants are getting what your wife is seeing. I see it as purple-blue-green, and dark. I thought that may be due to low temps but maybe it is an artifact of Jacks.

Well, I'm at it again. The Critical Kush has not been touched at all training wise. I don't want to use tie downs so my thumbs and pliers do all the work here.
The goal is to take a normal growing plant and shock her. I leave the main stem and fold down all other growth. I'm real curious as to see if in some way this will boost growth in the main as well as the other bud sites. I rarely remove a main stem. I prefer to manipulate the plant for more bud sites and I think I get just as many as a topped plants without removing any material or slowing down the plant. What I'm seeking may be just all ** in my mind but we shall see.
She is 3+ weeks into flower. Most wouldn't molest a lady like this at this stage. But if she was under a screen at that stage I'd be doing the same basic bending. Im just experimenting with a little..well, maybe a lot of manipulation..lol.
I'm pleased with how well this opens up the plant. I'll post some updates in a few days.

From this...

More rearranging tonight....

Okay, maybe this is the last of the rearranging thing. Moved the 480 into the big tent and sent the 300 over to the smaller tent. The big tent now sports 8 of the larger plants and now has the two larger lamps. I've moved all the smaller plants into the small tent...confused? Me too.

@WeedHopper Thank you Sir

Sugar Black Rose....24days 12/12

A few shots of the SBR#1. I'm taking a few clones of this plant. I'm loving the way she's developed. Very strong sturdy branches which are supporting many nice bud sites. Delicious seeds says 55days..uh huh. It has been a rapid grower in flower and not stretching out of control. This would be a great scrog strain.

Threw the auto in the sink tonight and flushed 5 gal of tap water through. I'm seeing a lot of milky but no amber yet. So, maybe a good flush and some time will help her along.
She's coming down Sunday regardless. I need to get it dried and ready to be stored before I have to leave on the 6th. I hope I never have to flower an auto 12/12 again. Ya seem to loose so much.

A couple shots of that Afghan Skunk I started at 21 days of life. She is now 27days in 12/12. Tied her down pretty good in the beginning. So it's spread out enough to let it go a while. I don't expect a lot from it but it should be some nice bud. She looks like an auto at about 45 days.
