How to flower?

This is my first grow i have 3 plants that i keep in 6inch wide pots OUTSIDE, and then at night i keep them under about 200 watts of cfl, they pretty much get 24 hour lighting. What are some of yalls thoughts on this method? And my oldest plant is about a month old, when it goes into the flowering stage in a few more weeks, what exactly do i need to do to get it to bud when i light it the way i do? Thanx for all yalls help so far , wish i could share it with ya peace!

if you've been lettin it get sun light during the day i would let it flower outdoors as much as you can before it gets to cold. when you want it to flower reduce your lights to 12/12 that means 12 hours of light and 12 hours of dark. once it gets to cold outdoors you can use the cfls to flower indoors. hope this helps

as slowmo said 12 light - 12 dark. i'll add, in your dark period, it must be totally dark with no light leaks whatsoever.
