Currently, it's simply way too hot to be using the 600w HPS in my room, at least for veg.
So I've set up some CFLs in its stead. But when I flower (hopefully soon) I want to get some of that nice budfat:hubba:. I've heard your bud with CFLs is airy, not as dense, which to me equates to less total yield.
So would it be possible to flower 12/12 with the CFLs, and have that schedule overlap with a brief 2-4 hour burst from the HPS (so the HPS doesn't heat up the room)? This way I'll have all that CFL light and at least SOME of those precious 600w. Do you think it would be worth it?
