Is "MJ" a specific strain?

So I picked up some bud at our medical group meeting this weekend, and one of the strains available (which I chose) was called "MJ" - is anyone familiar with it, or is that just a term that means "we don't know what it is but it gets the job done!"

you know its so hard to pinpoint a certain strain name, litterally when I was dealin I was callin the stuff I sold as kitty paw, and people actually called it that, but since it was a medical group Im assuming it was grown by someone who is known within the group, so its possibly just a name he/she named it.
