Newbie!

Hello everyone. I'm a brand new grower and am looking for any tips I can get! I'm growing outside and have 3 little ladies, about 18-19in tall currently.

Thanks. I'm wondering what the difference is between flowering and budding? I'm pretty positive that all 3 are female and at this height I was expecting to see budding in the new growth but don't yet. New leaves are sprouting everyday but no buds. I've had them in pots for 3 weeks now. Am I just being impatient??
