I'm thinking about getting some T5's for my clone/seedling area. But, I'm not able to find a lot of info about them.

If I buy some two prong 48" bulbs, will I be able to use them in my 48" basic fluoro fixture (work light) ?

nope sorry to say, you HAVE to get a t5 fixture to use the tubes...its worth it. i'm running a 4-bulb 3000k 48" for one of my grows, and it works great...never vegged with them, but with the 5000k bulbs i bet it kick a$$

Hes right they need a T-5 fixture. I have a 2' 4 light half blue half red that I use for clones and a 4' 6 light all blue for veg. They are awesome!!!!!! Just try them out and you will love them. The big ones get a little hot for a flo.
