yeah, any of those "incandescent" bulbs like that are useless for growing. Even the ones that say plant lights aren't very good for anything more than a small house plant.

You can tell the lights that are specifically for serious growing because they won't be cheap. As with anything specialized, the prices go up quickly. With any light for growing, always look for the color spectrum and Lumen output. If it doesn't have those 2 items somewhere on the bulb or box, don't use em.

right on. I always wondered about the bulbs that didn't list the lumen output.
