I think i've got some white mold or something growing on my rockwool. They are just under a flouro right now getting dripped 24/7, how can i prevent the growth of this nasty little white stuff? Should i try to cover it so that no light gets to the rockwool or what? thanks. :farm: BUD

just started some WW seeds and they have sprouted nice and fast under a flouro. when should i turn on the 400watt HPS light? I'm only going to veg for like a week or two so should i just wait till then or what? :farm: Bud

i dont know i just saw what i saw, maybe some types have this dust and some don't i would just make sure to check and wash it off ( i used a noodle strainer) and it works just fine. :farm: Bud

I think it would be tight to see some crazy bright color plant. I think it would be a cool experiment. It wouldn't be cool if you are trying to make your pot look better just to jack up prices to dumb people, but still whatever i think it'd be cool. :farm: Bud

that looks like a nice unit. Maybe think about just letting each plant grow one big cola on the main stem if they are too close together? never done it personally but i've seen people just grow a bunch of one stem plants. :farm: Bud

ok i had to take the thing apart get all the charcoal out and rinse it out in a spaghetti noodle drainer thing a couple times and let it dry for a few days, then put it back it and no dust! works like a charm. i also changed it around so that the blower pulls air though the charcoal and blows...

looks really healthy to me man. be patient! they will speed up with time. are your lights on 24 hrs?

Ok update: It's now 5th day of flowering and she is growing like crazy! my closet is going to be FULL. and that is GREAT with me! check it out. that third picture shows the maze of LST strings lol. its pretty messy i must admit, but it gets the job done. :farm: Bud

damn, i dont own stupid pet fish, you should edit the original DIY to include rinsing off the charcoal so people don't get nasty black dust all over the place. :farm: Bud

when i got mine made, with a fan on top blowing into it, turned it on and black dusty stuff came out. How can i keep this from happening? wash the carbon off or something? any help? :farm: Bud
