mold?

I think i've got some white mold or something growing on my rockwool. They are just under a flouro right now getting dripped 24/7, how can i prevent the growth of this nasty little white stuff? Should i try to cover it so that no light gets to the rockwool or what? thanks.

You hit the nail on the head! You should put your drip emitters under something like black plastic or media to prevent light from hitting the moist, nutrient rich mold supper.

Algae and mold will haunt you if you don't.

yeah man, covered them up so very little light gets to the rockwool and the mold hasn't returned. thanks
