any way to post full size images?

thought i had seen it done on this site but cant figure it out myself.
i want to have the image full size in a post not as an attachment or thumbnail.
to keep inside the 488kb limit i just wanted to post a long macro picture in sections underneath eachother to keep some detail.
doesnt matter anyway just if anyone knows yes or no.

I do not know a way, but on that note.. I'd LOVE to have a larger minimum picture size!!! The resolution and size pics can be are very limited... but I make do

yeh im the same. i understand why but itd be nice to show off things in HQ. i can do this on another forum im on with the same limit but im not sure what is possible here image/html wise. also since offsite live links are banned cant really host it elsewhere.

thats fine if its breaking a rule i just thought aslong as the size of the files was under the maximum it wouldnt be any different to host.

What tends to happen is the larger pics throw the whole page out of whack. At least that is what happens on my iPad when peeps have done it in the past. It involves linking the pics from an outside source instead of uploading the pics to MP's server.

yeh i assumed that was against rules with livelinks etc anyway.
i blame the ipads:angrywife:! im on a 40 inch screen i need more detail.

i could have one set like 600 pixels wide and 2000(anything) long cut into smaller pieces and it shouldnt show up weirdly on smaller things.

The image loses a LOT of quality when you start to increase the size of a photo larger than the size of the image was created originally. Any zooming is kind of a joke.... granted it "works" slightly.

Here's a rule of thumb 4u.. you can ALWAYS resize to a smaller size, but NEVER resize larger without losing loads of quality and having pixel breakup in your photo.

thanks all, yeh thats was to 4u and his purple balls. though i am seeing a few herm flowers starting to form from some heat issues/good weather.

its an easyryder auto just about finished ill be chopping this wednesday.
growing 4 but this one didnt do great/a bit airy budwise but is ridiculously frosty.
itll make alot of bubble hash :icon_smile:

a full size image option with a width limit would be good, kb limit unchanged. itd keep the forum readable and we could post composite photos.
just talking out loud anyway, not complaints or demands.
