I've always heard that pharmaceutical companies are big monetary contributors against the legalization of marijuana...they would rather make money off your oxycontin habit than see you get the non-addictive help you really need...

Big Pharma "Was" the major contributor to anti-legalization, they are now way behind the brewer/distiller lobbies. Big Pharma has cut back on anti-weed support because they know weed will become legal.

So they take what they used to spend to keep weed illegal, and spend it on manuvers designed to give them a lions share of the marijuana market.

Brewers/Distillers are still opposed to marijuana legalization because they see it as a direct threat to their finances, and it is.
