Bubble hash to temple ball

Made some bubble hash few months ago. After collecting, freezing, grinding and let dry all these beautiful trichromes I tried to make a temple ball. Used the hot water in a bottle method. Final product had a very good smell and taste but it was too solid. You needed a lighter to make a "wire'". Used trichromes from 110/70/35 microns. Any idea on how to make it softer ? Is it worth to make a temple ball out of a pure Sativa strain? Read somewhere that its better to use indica flowers
