You should be able to google it and get some answers for you model phone and carrier. I advise caution if you try to hack a phone, you can render it useless if your not paying attention.
I had to hack my verizon V3m because verizon turns the file transfer option off by default. They are about the only carrier I've heard of that charges extra for this feature. Learned some helpful stuff along the way tho.
