I got this NTI CD & DVD MAKER-7 that came with my computer(Windows Vista) and I can't figure out how to burn video's useing this program....
I have a couple Vids that are all uploaded from the web that I wont to burn on a DVD-R but every time I drag the video in the layout a error message pops up and says *INVALID FORMAT*........So I clicked the help link and it told me which formats this program accepts, They are - VOB, IFO, BUP I never heard of these formats and I would like to know how to convert other formats into these ones(VOB, IFO, BUP)?????????
Anyone know what Im taking about???

welcome to vista microsofts way of making everything harder you could try and download dvd rip or nero there are alot ill look see if i can find the program for you

Those are disc image file formats. You need to burn those image files using an actual software program designed for it. Nero is the best bet for PC, and TOAST is a good bet for MAC

Windows NTI crap is mainly for doing naturally windows accepted programs that are playable via WMP.

Get Nero, better program but since this isn't about MJ, I doubt this thread will last long...sorry
it should not get erased i dont think ,he put it in the coffe table and i think we can talk about outher stuff than mj as long as it aint like outher drugs ,,but im not possitive ,i think this kind of stuff is for the coffetable but again i dont realy no and im stoned lol:) :)

search for a format switching program for videos or take the file and run it through movie maker first and then try to burn that result to the disc.

what if they were dvds about growing then it would be ok

this might help works on vista

Hey gonna let this one fly....;) Just no talk of "pirating" vids please....
Now I have a TON of experience in this one.
Ok, gonna give ya two paths of choice here.
First, How to play vid files on your CPU.
You need to get DivX player with all the codecs....google it and it will be #1. Package DL....then you can watch from your comp. almost 99% of the vids won't play unless its used with a DivX freindly program.

Now the more tricky part....taking DVD files, burning them to a DVD and playing them on a DVD player. I've had trouble with Nero and several others.....they are "picky" on what kind of player they play on. I myself use DVDsanta. but Nero I noticed only work on cheap DVD players....not like mine that can play VHS,DVD,and record DVD. So play around with several trials till you find the one that works with your DVD player. ;)

Vista is still not worked out yet IMHO....its a POS had it one my comp 1 day and backed to XP pro...till they get there freakin bugs out...took me 2 years to put XP on mine so that my stuff would work right...so heads up. IMO

Vista makes me a lot of money, it's not as bad as Windows ME but close. Hell when they released it nobody had any drivers ready for it.....if you don't have it don't upgrade...please!!!

PS I work on CPUs for a living

I don't use -r's so not sure why on that one. I know that most software don't like -R's. Pay the extra buck and get +r's.... On DVD to DVD "back-up" :p copies. I use DVDXcopy Platnum. Some of the "free" DVD santas are quirky. I use em for putting an Image from torrent on it. ;)
I prefer btjunkie for most of my software...typically accurate reviews...now keep in mind almost all keygens have a bug in em...if not still register as a bug so deal with it AFTER the fact...don't clean the bug first...it's a PITA to remove...but won't work if you clean it first...but ya gotta do what ya gotta i guess.

Get to KNOW your rootkits now a days. ;)

On a mod note:
Please pay for your stuff...we will not condone any pirating information....someone (corporate america) thinks they deserve the bucks I guess. ;)

Ive never had any problems with DVDsanta, i use it to convert my avi files to DVD format, then i burn them.

Also just thought i might add, if you need a good program to watch your downloaded avi files on your PC, download VLC player. It has all of the codecs and is great :)
